The Hantarex Playfair range of metal cased monitors has an
integrated digital television tuner and is designed for use in
digital signage applications where a full range of data
connections is required together with the display of live
television. This range
has been designed for tough, 24/7 environments and would
suit applications such as
museums, betting shops, gymnasiums, hotels, department stores, retail
shops and shopping malls.
The
Playfair is currently offered in the five sizes of 19", 22"
26" 42" and 52". There is a 32" version but this at present
is housed in a black polycarbonate case and is the
32" RGC monitor. All
monitors are in 16:9 format except the 22" model which is
16:10. The 22" is also the only model at present that can
have a SAW touch screen added.
All
monitors in the Playfair range have connections that include
component video, a single SCART [incls.CVBS], 15 pin HD
[PC], HDMI and S-Video. They also include a 3mm audio input
jack and a 3.5mm headphones jack making them ideal for
museums and gymnasiums. All models have an audio
system and the 42" and 52" have integrated speakers.
However, all of the other models have another advantage and
that is a fast extractable power supply. Please note there
is no direct RCA or BNC connection for composite video. This
is achieved via the SCART connector.
All Playfair products in the range are equipped with a full
function remote control but in addition are addressable via the RS232 interface protocol, making them
accessible by room controllers such as AMX or Extron.
