The Hantarex Airtank is built to survive the toughest of outdoor applications. The sophisticated anodized, aluminium cabinet fully protects the display and electronics from problems generated by dust, water, humidity and also from attack by vandals. This makes it ideal for railway stations, bus terminals, tramway terminals, underground or metro stations or any generic display located under critical weather conditions.

All models of the Airtank may include an  integrated Intel Core-i3 2.13 Ghz processor PC with up to 2GB RAM and Non-volatile SSD up to 16GB or a 256GB HDD.  Internal resolution is 1920 x 1080 and the internal LAN is a GigaEthernet 10/100/1000. With the integrated PC, the display is designed to be connected to a video server using the a LAN and a RS232 connection. For displays without the integrated PC the external connections are VGA, HDMI and DVI. A WiFi interface is optional.

IP rating compliance requires the monitors to use passive cooling with any external airflow exchange. Internal air is therefore clean and doesn't generate dust or water problems. This leads to advantages in terms of reliability, safety and device durability. The monitor has a special "compass" opening to provide easy access to the internal components for inspection. All components are of industrial standard and designed for 24/7 operation.

The Airtank IP66 is currently available in two sizes of 32" and 46". There are two versions of the 46", a standard brightness unit and a high bright 1500cd/mē version. All versions of the Airtank 46" can be operated in portrait of landscape mode.
